When childhood friends Thomas and David decided to work on some songs together, little did they know that their jam sessions would end up in the formation of the full-fledged Cornflakes Heroes. After playing around with the line-up for a year, they finally settled in May 2005 on a combo that includes Claire on bass and Vincent on drums.
Cornflakes Heroes are just like what their bandname suggests : playful and reckless, but also as dreamlike as pragmatic. The logical heirs of the likes of The Shins (for the light-hearted sense of humour) , “Wowee-Zowee”- era Pavement (for the “lo-fi but not really” eccentric indie-rock songwriting) and Sebadoh circa “Harmacy”(for the edgy, but nostalgic feel), Cornflakes Heroes are anything you’d want an indie-rock band to be. Also able to pull the brakes when the tension is palpable, our new-found heroes have recorded an intense and “cooler than cool” debut album: “Off with your heads!”.
