I agree with SO much said here. Some of us would continue on as composers, musicians, performers even if we KNEW with complete certainty that we would never become famous or make a single penny for our efforts. Most of the musicians that I know only want to make enough to live on, not an amount that needs to be squirreled away in an offshore tax shelter. But we do need to support ourselves and our families – like any other profession.
