Instalment five of Bonafide Beats arrives signed, sealed and delivered courtesy of the distinguished talents of UK hip-hop stalwarts Mystro and Mr Thing..

Part of the wave of talented MCs to emerge on the scene during the late 90s – Free the Walls with Braintax on the Word Lab 2 comp is a stonewall classic – Mystro is a larger than life character. Over the years his output has incorporated everything from working with Lowlife and its extended familia, albums produced Down Under and investigative cultural reports for Spine-TV.net. He’s currently promoting his new Digmund Freud EP.

Bonafide Beats 05 is stitched together with diligence, craft and love by vinyl manipulator Mr Thing. Thing’s fingers splice Mystros new material with the likes of Pharoah Monch’s blinding comeback track Shine, Slum Village’s stuttering cinematic playa anthem Scheming and a dollop of heavyweight hip-hop courtesy of Fat Joe (with Preemo on production) and The Roots.
