Marilyn Music’s new track, “To The Party” is a tantalizing admixture of acoustic neo-folk and haunting orchestral pop. The renaissance fair English folk opening quickly deforms into a slow creep of booming war-drums and chilly sitar harmonies. Dorie Colangelo’s voice is the perfect lead instrument for this song. Her voice is clear and beautiful but dark and mysteriously sexy. This track is reminiscent of a late-90’s James Bond theme song with grand instrumentation, pop catchiness and smoky seductiveness.
