The Radio Cipó Collective is a production hub that uses makeshift digital audio technology to create experimental sonic studies with the goal of sharing this work with Brazil and the rest of world. This album includes songs by Mestre Laurentino, Dona Onete, Mestre Bereco of the group Carimbó Sancari as well as the Radio Cipó Collective itself in partnership with the larger community. The music integrates traditional and modern, urban and peripheral, understanding in itself the process of growth and expansion of free digital communication.
The CRC realizes experimental open rehearsals together with the community on the streets of the Pedreira neighborhood, inserting a channel of communication into the periphery and allowing social, cultural and sonic production as well as entertainment.
